TexAmericas Center has announced another year of strong growth in its 2024 Annual Census of Employment and Payroll report. The industrial park has seen year-over-year increases in new businesses, job creation, and annual payroll, marking a milestone year for the organization.

TexAmericas Center, which operates one of the largest mixed-use industrial parks in the U.S., reported the highest combined tenant payroll and the largest number of tenants in its history. During the 2024 fiscal year, tenants contributed almost $100 million in combined annual payroll, a 62% jump compared to last year.

“Thanks to the new contracts and deals our team has secured this year, we’ve seen a boost in both employment and salaries,” said Scott Norton, Executive Director and CEO of TexAmericas Center. “We are driving economic development in the region, positively impacting businesses throughout Texarkana. This year’s census report is a testament to our team’s commitment to ensuring our region is one of continued growth and opportunity.”

This year, they welcomed four new businesses and maintained an 87% retention rate among existing tenants. The addition of 91 new jobs has increased the total number of jobs on-site to over 1,450, the highest in TexAmericas Center's history.

“We’re very proud of the progress we have seen this year,” Norton added. “For over 25 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to become a pioneer of growth, supporting the dedicated men and women working in our region. In the last six years alone, we’ve supported businesses so they could collectively increase employment numbers by 97 percent, and we’re committed to building on that momentum.”

Moving forward, TexAmericas Center will focus on attracting both domestic and international businesses, while also supporting families relocating to Texas by assisting with housing, schools, ESL classes, and more.

For five consecutive years, TexAmericas Center has been ranked among the top 10 U.S. industrial parks by Business Facilities magazine, including a No. 3 ranking for 2023 and 2024.
