Cyber Tips Lead to Arrest of Texarkana Man on Alleged Child Porn
The Texarkana Arkansas Police, along with the Arkansas State Police and the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children, are working together to fight crime against children. Last week, they tracked down and arrested two men in separate cases.
The first one took place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at around 6:55 AM. Special Agents with the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, working with the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department, received a search warrant for a home in the 2100 block of Pinson Drive in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The investigation started when the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received multiple cyber tips from three social media apps Google, Kik, and Snapchat.
Lewis Northcutt, 27 years of age from Texarkana, was arrested for an alleged 30 counts of Possession of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child (CSAM).
Northcutt was taken to the Miller County Detention Center and booked on a $150,000 bond.
The second arrest took place on Friday, October 25 when the Arkansas State Police along with the ASP ICAC Task Force agents, and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, received a search warrant and arrested a man in the Hensley, Arkansas area. This arrest again was a result of a tip from NCMEC. This tip was also from a social media platform.
Agents arrested Chris Patton, 47, of Hensley, on the alleged five counts of possession of CSAM. Patton was taken to the Saline County Detention Center, where he is waiting for his first court appearance.
