It is hard to believe we are already at the second weekend of October. There are a few fun events to check out where you can enjoy music, food and more. Plus it's that time of year to find those fun scary trails and haunted houses. Here is a list of great events this weekend October 11-13.

 

Cycle Through History Bike Tour

This fun event is Friday, October 11 in downtown Texarkana. The tour will be of the public art on display. The tour starts at 5:30 PM at the Texarkana, Texas City Hall parking lot at 220 Texas Blvd. You can register online here.

Friday night it's Downtown Live. Enjoy browsing through some of the downtown businesses and shops as they stay open later for visitors. Plus street musicians and artists will be showing off their talents. 6 PM to 9 PM in downtown Texarkana. Presented by Mainstreet Texarkana.

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time.
