I feel like a piece of American nostalgia has died with it. Gone are the days of watching the big yellow trucks roll through neighborhoods in Arkansas and all across America. I couldn't wait for them to deliver those orange push-ups one of my favorites. The iconic Schwan’s Home Delivery which rebranded its name to Yelloh will cease operations in November, marking the end of an era for the Minnesota-based company founded in 1952, according to Fun in Arkansas.

What started as a local dairy delivery service turned into a frozen food empire delivering frozen food products all across neighborhoods in the United States. Schwan's built a reputation for delivering top-quality frozen food such as complete frozen meals, meats, pizza, and their signature ice cream. In 2022, Schawn's rebranded to Yelloh, Arkansas has six Yelloh locations that will close their doors in Camden, Harrison, Jacksonville, Jonesboro, Springdale, and West Memphis.

Closing after 72 Years

After 72 years, economic pressures and changing consumer habits were some of the biggest factors in deciding to go out of business. According to a press release, the company's model was no longer sustainable in a changing environment and evolving consumer lifestyles.

Yelloh trucks will continue to make their deliveries until November 8, now is the chance for customers to stock up before it shuts down. Over the years, Schwan's or Yelloh drivers became like family members to many folks they delivered to.
