Get ready for Texarkana's 2024 National Night Out – it's coming up fast! This year's event will take place on Tuesday, October 1, in both Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas.
National Night Out is all about bringing neighborhoods together. It's the perfect chance to get to know your neighbors, enjoy some great food on the grill, and enjoy each other's company. Plus, it's a great opportunity to meet local officials, police officers, and firefighters who work hard to keep our community safe.
Studies show that knowing your neighbors makes your community safer. When you look out for each other, you're more likely to notice if something's wrong or if someone needs help.
Why not host a block party? It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive – a simple potluck will do the trick. Just grab some lawn chairs, share a meal, and enjoy the evening together.
Be sure to register your neighborhood party so police, firefighters and city officials can stop by and meet everyone.
