Do you know how to cook a turkey? Have you ever cooked a turkey? Well, 2020 is a different kind of year. There is a recent survey that said one in four people are saying they will be cooking a turkey for the very first time this year.

HandsOn Texarkana's 12th Annual Tapas & Wine event is this Thursday!  This year the theme is "Puttin on the Ritz" so get dressed in 1920s fashions for this fun night.

It's almost that time! Time for 27th Annual Community Fish Fry at the University of Arkansas at Hope. It all takes place on Friday, October 23, from 4:30PM -7:00 p.m. This year it will be corona style with drive-through only.

Harvest Regional Food Bank is at it again. Our friends at Harvest have been working hard through the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure those that need help with food are getting it. They will be distributing 1,000 emergency food boxes to Texarkana-area residents on Tuesday, September 29.

Day 2 of The Ride for Change may not have met the donation expectations we had, but it far exceeded the #beagoodhuman expectations.

It's another cancellation of a great event in Texarkana thanks to COVID-19. The board of directors at Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Area had to make the tough decision to cancel the Twice as Fine Wine Festival.

Soup is always good until it's bad. Time to check the cabinets for this soup especially if you have food allergies. Faribault Foods Inc., a Faribault, Minn. establishment, is recalling approximately 15,134 pounds of canned soup product due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced earlier this week.

Finally! Here's something fun for the adults to do this weekend. The Texarkana Museum System is hosting a party to celebrate Harry Potter Month and the fun is for adults only.

Even though the Hope Watermelon Festival was canceled due to COVID-19. It's great to see that the festival officials are still finding a way to still have some of the main events. So, instead of the normal in-person Watermelon Eating Contest this year they are issuing a virtual challenge.

We are officially in the dog days of summer. That's why it's nice to know that this Thursday, July 23 is Free Tea Day and in the south, it's all about Iced Tea.
