Sad news to report from the world of professional wrestling. The WWE confirms that WWE Hall of Fame wrestler "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes has passed away today (June 11) at the age of 69.

Rhodes' real name was Virgil Runnels and is the father of current WWE wrestlers Goldust (Dustin Runnels) and Stardust (Cody Runnels).

Rhodes is known for his legendary matches against Rick Flair and Harley Race when he wrestled in the National Wrestling Alliance. He won three NWA Championships during his time there. He then wrestled in the WWE in the 1990s and also World Champion Wrestling.

He will always be remembered for his great in ring work, tremendous mic skills and as one of the best performers that has ever been involved in the world of wrestling.
