Winterizing Your Car Involves More Than Checking Your Tire Pressure [VIDEO]

My grandfather always said, "Every time you refill your gas tank, check your tire pressure."Those words always filter through my mind when I buy more gas for my van. I remember him saying if your tires are filled to capacity with air, you receive better gas mileage as well as less wear and tear on your tires.

Since the colder weather has settled over Texarkana, I have been reviewing a checklist of items that need to be completed in order to winterize my van. According to MSN, inspecting your tires is the second most important thing after the battery.

However, I do need an oil change. So I think I will have them inspect my exhaust system as well. I hope everyone inspects their car so that they aren't stranded on the side of the road this winter!
