Today in Pennsylvania, the world's most famous Rat, Gopher, Ferret etc.  "Yeah I Know, It's a cute, furry  groundhog with big teeth that are probably straighter than mine". As the story goes, every year, Punxsutawney Phil's handlers announce whether he has "seen" his shadow which supposedly indicates we'll have six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't see his shadow, it suggests we'll have an early spring.Today he came out and did not see his shadow which means we are suppsed to have an early

spring. I'd love to believe this furry little feller but I was sceptical and did a little reseach on the difference between Punxsutawny Phil's predictions and the good ol' trusty Farmers Almanac. here's some interesting facts I found out.  It was furry Phil's 125th annual weather forecast in front of thousands of revelers on the tiny hill of Gobbler's Knob. The event is conducted by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club's Inner Circle, Phil has seen his shadow 98 times since 1887, and he's failed to see it only 15 times. how accurate is his forcast? Stormfax Almanac's data shows that Phil's six-week prognostications have been correct only 39 percent of the time. According to Farmer's Almanac, and its claim of 80-85% accuracy over the years since 1818, says  "Spring's not coming early",  Almanac also says "dry summer this year".I'm going to go out on a limb and make my own prediction that we will have a wet spring starting in March and a hot and dry Summer Ending in September. Pretty generic prediction right? What is your prediction?
