Three grand prize winning tickets were sold in the Powerball drawing last night. Those were in Memphis, Florida, and California. There were also a couple of big winners in Arkansas as well.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery announced today that a couple of people did win some big bucks in last night's drawing.

Tracie Cherry from Alexander in Pulaski County won a $100,000  prize in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s Powerball game. Cherry purchased a Powerball ticket at Love’s Travel Stop in Little Rock. For selling the winning ticket, the store is eligible for a $1,000 retailer bonus. Cherry said she told his mother first. She plans to pay off her car and save the rest.

Also, Cory Nicholson from Jacksonville in Pulaski County won a $50,000 prize in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s Powerball game. Nicholson purchased a Powerball ticket at Junction Station in Jacksonville. For selling the winning ticket, the store is eligible for a $500 retailer bonus. Nicholson said he told his wife first and plans to pay off debt and save the rest.

The jackpot for the next Powerball drawing on Saturday night will go back down to around $40 million.
