Water Boil Ordered for Part of Bowie County Texas

Some Bowie County residents have been told to boil their water before consuming due to a broken valve in the water line.

The Central Bowie County Water Supply Corporation is informing Bowie County residents between New Boston, Malta and the Daniel’s Chapel area that they should boil their water before consumption.

It is reported that a broken valve is causing very low water pressure. To ensure the removal of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, or making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then continue boiling for two more minutes.

It is estimated this will last for two days... check back for updates.
