Warren Buffett, the 81-year-old billionaire investor who has been at the center of the debate about taxing the very rich, said yesterday that he has prostate cancer, but he "feels great" and will continue to run Berskshire Hathaway while undergoing treatment.

Buffett broke the news in a letter to investors, saying that he's been diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer and will start daily radiation treatments in mid-July. He explained that his condition is "not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way."

According to eMedTV, the five-year survival rate for stage one prostate cancer was 99 percent in 1995 through 2002.
