Former Pleasant Grove pitcher Michael Wacha is gearing up for his first full season in the majors. The St. Louis Cardinals phenom pitcher has been sharp in spring training games so far this month with another outing planned for today against the Florida Marlins down in the Sunshine state.

Wacha was red hot as he was called up to the big leagues last August and helped the Cardinals win the National League Central, beat Los Angeles in the NLCS and pitched well in the World Series against the Boston Red Sox.

Now all eyes will be on him to see if he can put up those kind of numbers and outings over a full season. Here’s hoping and betting that he will be the ace for the Redbirds this season.

Good Luck Michael!!!!
