UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT TYLER MOBILE STEM LAB
BRINGS HANDS-ON LEARNING TO TEXAS MIDDLE SCHOOL

Texarkana, TX – University of Texas at Tyler’s Ingenuity Center will bring Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to life on Thursday and Friday, May 29 and 30 as their Mobile STEM Lab makes their inaugural visit to the Texas Middle School campus.
The mobile lab assists educators in providing:  hands-on activities to excite and engage students; curriculum support aligned with state and national standards; access to innovative equipment and technology; and learning activities covering a wide variety of grade levels and science topics.
Use of the UT Tyler Mobile STEM Lab allows a campus to have access to technology and equipment not readily available to many. In lieu of using scarce funds to purchase equipment that experiences valuable but limited use throughout the year, districts can rent the technology and support necessary for only the time required. The mobile lab allows teachers to provide engaging and meaningful experiences that bring learning to life, and to do so in a budget-conscious manner.
Texas Middle School teachers will accompany students to the mobile lab for 30-45 minute class periods during the school day – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m."
