“I joined TRiO Upward Bound to learn about the opportunities that are available for my future in regards to college admission and scholarships. The program is also helping me identify the steps that are necessary for my chosen career path, and I have created lasting friendships through Upward Bound,” Holmes said. Diamond’s future plans include pursuing a career in nursing. “I want to become a registered nurse because I like to help other people,” she said.

The TRiO Upward Bound Hall of Fame is an effort to showcase the array of students within Arkansas TRIO Programs by noting their various academic and civic accomplishments. Each TRiO program can nominate one participant for inclusion in the Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame nominees will be recognized during the Arkansas TRiO Day Program held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, on the campus of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR.
