A couple of Bowie County High Schools have brought home top honors from a TxDOT PSA Contest held this week in Jefferson, Texas.

TxDOT-New Boston School

New Boston High School students got to show off the $1,500 check they received for winning the TxDOT Traffic Safety Public Sersvice Announcement competition held Wednesday in Jefferson.  The students created a video about the hazards of distracted driving and beat out 12 other schools from the TxDOT Atlanta District which covers a nine-county area of Northeast Texas.  The funds will go towards this year’s Project Celebration at the school.

TxDOT-Redwater School

Redwater High School students also got to show off the $1,000 check they received for placing third in the TxDOT Traffic Safety Public Service Announcement competition held Wednesday in Jefferson.  The students created a video about the hazards of distracted driving competing against 12 other schools from the TxDOT Atlanta District which covers a nine-county area of Northeast Texas.  The funds will go towards this year’s Project Celebration at the school.

Congratulations to these schools and the other high schools in the area who participated in this year's event and brought home funds for the Project Celebration at their school.
