TISD Extends The School Days To Make Up For A Missed Day

Texarkana Independent School District has announced they will be extending the school day for all elementary schools and Texas Middle School by ten minutes for ten days.

In order for the school to maintain state-mandated requirements, the school hours will be extended by 10 minutes for ten days from April 16 through 20, then again from April 23 through 27. The adjusted start time for those days at all of the elementary schools and Texas Middle School will be 7:40 AM.

These times are going to affect Texarkana Independent School District Elementary schools and Texas Middle School only.

Bus schedules will remain the same. This change does not affect Texas High School.

Tese time adjustments are needed to make up for the snow and ice day that was taken on January 17.
