Every parent wants their child to receive the best education possible. So choosing the best textbooks is an important decision.

The Texas State Board of Education has the opportunity to “vote in November on proposed textbooks and digital books in math, science and technology that could be used starting next fall by most of the state's five-plus million public school students” according to the Associated Press.

However, a “new law is in place that gives school districts the freedom to choose their own instructional materials including software, electronic readers or textbooks with or without board approval.”

At this time, no one knows what the board has approved.
