A suspicious looking vehicle turned into a drug and possession of counterfeit money arrest for Texarkana, Texas Police.

Texarkana, Texas Police Officers arrested a local man for several charges following an early morning traffic stop today. Officers observed a Chevrolet pickup parked behind a business in the 2300 block of Richmond Road at 2:37 a.m. As officers approached the vehicle, it began to pull away. Officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Michael Scott Ingram, 35, of Texarkana, Ark.

A warrant check revealed that Ingram had several outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions. He was arrested, and officers impounded his vehicle.

During an inventory of the vehicle, officers found small baggies containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke the drug.

The officers later noticed that Ingram was repeatedly moving around in the back seat of the patrol unit. When they opened the car door to investigate, they say they discovered that he had two counterfeit bills in his hand.

Ingram’s charges include Possession of Controlled Substance, Forgery (counterfeit money), Theft of Property (Bowie County warrant), Theft of Property (Lamar County, Texas warrant) and Probation Violation for Burglary (Miller County warrant). He was transported to the Texarkana jail.
