Daylight Saving Time or not? The committee that will hear the House Bill 150 meets this afternoon at 2 pm. Let your opinion be known and call the Texas House Committee at (512) 463-0903 and (512) 463-0722. You can leave your contact information and a message that you are NOT in favor of HB 150 on the answering machine.

You can also call theses numbers and show your support of the House Bill 150 .  Although, I'd rather you say No!!! I like, no... I love Daylight Savings Time!

If the committee passes this then the full Texas House will have the chance to vote on the bill. Let's just stop it in it's tracks now.

According to dailytexasonline.com.:

The bill, if passed, would mean Texas could opt out of the twice-a-year time change, which the Uniform Time Act of 1966 established.

In 1966, the Uniform Time Act set nationwide start and end times for daylight saving time — the last Sunday in April and October. Since the act’s implementation, daylight saving time has been moved to the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November.

The act also allows states not to follow daylight saving. Currently, Hawaii, Arizona and some parts of Indiana do not practice the time change.
