Texarkana Texas City Council to Look at Speed Limit on University Avenue

The Texarkana, Texas City Council meets tonight starting at 6 p.m. at City Hall.One of the items on the agenda is to conduct a public hearing on an ordinance which would increase the speed limit to 40 m.p.h. on a stretch of University Avenue from the Texas A&M-Texarkana Campus to Shilling Road to the east.

The council will also look at CDBG and other items on the agenda. The public is invited to attend the open portion of tonight's meeting.
