Texas side police have identified the driver of a motorcycle who died in an accident on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say 25-year-old Justin Stanley of Nash, Texas, was killed in the crash that occurred at Old Boston Road and Baylor Street.

Stanley was travelling westbound on Old Boston Road on a 1991 Kawasaki motorcycle when a 2014 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 42-year-old Shaneka Crockett, of Magnolia, Ark., crossed into his path.

Police say Crockett, who was northbound on Baylor Street, stopped at the stop sign and was struck by Stanley after she continued into the intersection.

Stanley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Both Crockett and a 19 year old passenger in her vehicle were transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As is standard practice in fatal crashes, the investigation will remain open until results of blood tests for both drivers are returned from the crime lab. If warranted, any appropriate citations or charges will be issued at that time.

According to the police report, Stanley was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash.
