Are you a Civil War buff? Then you really need to check out a presentation by author and former Texarkana Museums System President Ed Black as he talks about his book Rondo: All but Forgotten Arkansas History Southwest of the Red River.

This edition of the Open Book Series will be Thursday, January 11 from 6PM to 8PM at the Museum of Regional History located at 219 North State Line Avenue in downtown Texarkana, Texas.

The talk will highlight Rondo, Arkansas and it's role during the Civil War.

Some us have heard that 85 Confederate Army soldiers are buried in the Ronda cemetery, so this event and the book will probably shed some light on how these men ended up in Rondo with troops moving through the area and Rondo being, for a short time, the temporary state capital for Confederate Arkansas.

The event is free and open to the public, but they do ask you to register at Eventbrite.com or go to their Facebook Event page for more information.
