The man accused of fatally injuring 30-year-old Texarkana Texas Police Officer William Spargue has received a verdict of guilty.

21-year-old Justin Sanders was found guilty of murder by a jury in Rockwall Texas Monday afternoon. Sentencing will be set for Tuesday April 1. The trial was moved to Rockwall Texas due to the pretrial publicity surrounding the case.

Sanders was attempting to evade being stopped by officer Sprague when he ran the officer over at Grady T. Wallace Park in June of 2013. Officer Sprague died from is injuries.

Justin Sanders can receive anywhere from 5 to 99 years, or life in a Texas State Prison.
