Texarkana College Honors Ross Perot After His Effort to Save the Institution

Ross Perot stepped up to the plate to save Texarkana College and challenged the community to get involved. Now the College is honoring Mr. Perot's commitment to his old hometown.The college held a luncheon to thank Ross Perot and to honor is financial commitment to saving his former alma mater. The college is going to place a replica of the cotton house sales building that Perot's father ran in Texarkana when Ross was a child.

This will permanently remind students and citizens of the commitment that Mr. Perot made to save the college that he once attended.

Perot offered up $1 million dollars to the college and 4 million more over the next four years to help bring world class educators to teach at the community college.
