Texarkana, Arkansas Police Investigate Overnight Homicide

The Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department is investigating a murder that occurred just before midnight at a local apartment complex.

Police responded at 11:30PM to a report that someone had been shot in the 2400 block of County Ave., in the Beechdale Apartments. Officers arrived and located 44-year-old Leroy Davis. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a person of interest has been identified. Davis was reported to have been with at least two other subjects at the apartment complex, who left prior to officers arrival.

Detectives are working leads and the investigation is ongoing at this time
