Texarkana Arkansas City Board to Meet

The Texarkana Arkansas City Board of Directors meets in regular session this evening at 6:30 at City Hall.The board will consider an ordinance approving the City Manager's appointment of Heather Soyars as the permanent City Clerk. Soyars has been doing the job since long time clerk Patti Scott Grey was terminated earlier this year.

The board will also discuss the upcoming Fourth of July celebration "Sparks in the Park" which is to be held July 4th at the Four States Fairgrounds.

There will also be a closed executive session among other items on the agenda. The public is invited to attend the open portion of tonight's meeting.
