Texarkana Arkansas and City Manager Part Ways

The City of Texarkana Arkansas is looking for a new City Manager.The board met in executive session last night with City Manager Harold Boldt and both sides agreed to a mutual decision to make the change.

Mayor Wayne Smith said today that Boldt was neither fired nor resigned but that both sides decided now was a good time to part ways. Smith said that Boldt's contract was for an indefinite time.

Smith expects the board to name an Interim City Manager by the end of the week and to set up the process for selecting the next person to fill that position.
