Zane Lee Talley of Texarkana, Arkansas, accepted a scholarship June 21 to shoot with the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Iron Horse Shooting Team.

According to a press release, the scholarship is good for up to $650 for the academic year. Zane is a graduate of Arkansas High School and a former member of the Arkansas High Razorbacks Shooting Team. Talley is the son of Kristy and Steve Craigen. He plans to major in Industrial Technology at UAHT.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Iron Horse Shooting Team provides only seven scholarships to shooters for the academic year. The scholarships are awarded to the top seven shooters based on letters of recommendation. The shooting team competes at the College’s “Pulling for Education Trap Shoot,” the State Championship Shoot in Tiller, AR, and the National Championship Shoot in San Antonio, TX.
