If you love aviation and vintage aircraft, then you'll enjoy seeing a fully restored B-17 Flying Fortress known as the Texas Raiders come to the Texarkana Regional Airport on September 20-21 hosted by TAC Air.

Visitors will have an opportunity to climb on board and experience a tour of this vintage plane with a walk-through tour that includes commentary from crew members. And if you want the ultimate Flying Fortress experience then book a reservation for a 30-minute flight on this vintage aircraft. Only a limited number of flights will be available so you should book your flight early.

There were 12,731 B-17s built across the US and only nine are currently flying, including the fully restored Texas Raiders, which is part of the Commemorative Air Force. Its four Wright-Cyclone engines give off a distinctive roaring rumbling sound when it hits the skies.

Texas Raiders was the first Flying Fortress to be operated solely for the sake of preservation and use as a flying museum. One of the most notable attributes of this vintage aircraft is its machine guns with a period-specific radio compartment and the Norden bombsight.

Tours begin at 10AM and run through 4PM each day at 501 Airport Drive in Texarkana. For further information on costs of tours and flights, call 1-855-359-2217 or reserve online at B-17 Texas Raiders.
