With the warmer weather, there are more motorcycles out on the road. It's time once again to remember the "Share the Road: Look Twice for Motorcycles” campaign it gets underway in May.  There are safety precautions motorists can take to protect motorcyclists and themselves.

Work on the widening of I-30 continues along with other road work in and around the area. The Texas Department of Transportation released the latest on all the road work projects in our area and surrounding counties.

Easy to say that this past week was a bust for actual new road work and that's okay. TxDOT was working hard and is still working hard to make sure our roads are safe from snow and ice. But starting Monday it will be back to normal temperatures and normal road work will start back up. Here is what roadwork will be taking place all next week.

Be careful if you need to get on the roads. The roads are still icy and will remain that way for a while. Especially as we have another hard freeze tonight with a low expected of 11. TxDOT is reminding us that even though the winter storm has passed, icy road hazards still remain and will probably be around a few more days. Work continues on I-30 with the project of widening from four lanes to six. The TxDOT Atlanta District released an update just in time for people that might be traveling this week for Thanksgiving.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reminds motorists traveling US Highway 82, a quarter-mile east of FM 2253, near Leary Creek will be restricted to one lane, one-way for several weeks while workers replace bridge rail and guard rail.
