January 4, 2012 Bowie County Commissioners have named Denise Thornburg to replace Natalie Nichols on an interim basis as County Clerk. Nichols resigned December 31st in a
dispute with the Commissioners Court. Thornburg who previously worked in the
clerk’s office will oversee the department this year and an election will be
held to pick a new clerk later this year
