Texarkana Water Rates

The Texarkana, Ark., City Board of Directors meet tonight at City Hall and is expected to vote on an ordinance authorizing the Texarkana Water Utilities to raise water rates 10 percent for all customer classifications. The rate increase would pay for the acquisition of additional Millwood Lake water rights from the Southwest Arkansas Water District.

Residents are likely to see an increase in their water bills soon as the Texarkana, Texas City Council sets its Fiscal Year 2016 Master Fee Lists, which will include a small rise in the water rates.
