Bowie County Commissioners have named Denise Thornburg to replace Natalie Nichols on an interim basis as County Clerk. Nichols resigned December 31st in a dispute with the Commissioners Court. Thornburg who previously worked in the clerk’s office will oversee the department this year and an election will be held to pick a new clerk later this year...

The 1st Board of Directors meeting of the new year will be held tonight at Texarkana Arkansas City Hall.
