Move over Mickie D's and BK, Taco Bell is adding fries to the menu.

Today the chain announced that U.S. customers will soon be able to add nacho fries for just $1. Taco Bell says that the fries will have a bold Mexican seasoning and will be served with nacho cheese sauce setting them apart from the fries chain originators.

Customers will also have the option to "upgrade" their fries for an additional fee. Supreme fries, which come with toppings like beef and Pico de Gallo can be ordered for $2.49 or Bell Grande fries for $3.49.

New to  the United States, but nothing foreign to other states, Taco Bell has always offered fries as a side selection in countries such as United Kingdom, Korea and Japan.

The news comes one day before McDonald's is set to relaunch its new Dollar Menu, which will include $1, $2, and $3 items. But here's the catch.... The one that compliments a mediocre burger and 'nugget-shaped" chicken is NOT on the menu.... those golden arches fries!

Taco Bell’s fries will be available for a limited time beginning January 25.
