Wow, now here's a shocker! A new survey shows that 1 in 3 women are taking off their wedding rings in certain situations. And the situations are a bit shocking!

At first I thought, well okay. Yes, I take my wedding ring off to work in the garden. I used to not do that, but then found out that even with garden gloves on the friction on the prongs of the ring can wear down. I also will take my ring off if we are swimming in the ocean, because if the diamond came out in the sea...well, you get the point.  But this study actually made my jaw drop!

The top reasons women took off their rings?

35% -  work reasons

29% - job interviews

22% - out socializing. What?

Of the 22 percent of women who admitted that they took off their ring when they were out there hanging out with their friends, 59 percent said they wanted to appear single, and 11 percent said it was because they wanted to cheat.

Of all respondents taking part, 81% feared being judged by their employer on their relationship status. 60% also admitted that they felt that women’s career progression was often hindered by their relationship status, should they get married or start a family. - See more at: http://www.comparejewellery.com/alis-blog/2013/10/22/shockingly-1-in-3-women-are-wedding-ring-removers/#sthash.VoSHFIeg.dpuf
