Some local musicians have received honors for their talent.Students from the strings classes at Arkansas High School and North Heights Junior High auditioned and earned a seat in the 2015 Arkansas South Region Orchestra. The following students were selected to perform in the concert consisting of music ranging from classical to rock.

The students recognized are: Patrick McKerlie, Christina Cannady, Marco Moya, Sydnee Pritchett, Courtney Coker, Kaitlyn Casper, Nicholas Smart, Ethan Pyle and John Lumpkin.

Other events at T.A.S.D included on Wednesday morning September 23,  students, faculty members, and community members met at the flag pole, for the See You at the Pole event, which involves prayers to God to intercede in their lives and their education.

Coming up on Tuesday, September 29, a Volleyball Bash will take place inside the Arkansas High School Razorback gym. The Bash will include skills and drills by Arkansas High School and North Heights Junior High players, a red/white scrimmage, group challenges and team-building exercises.

Admission is $1. All funds will benefit the volleyball program. Come out and show your support.
