My husband and I love hot sauce! It doesn’t matter if it is on eggs, a glaze for salmon or in chili. We enjoy the spicy flavor it adds to food.
The plant, which processes raw materials for the sauce for about three months a year, is currently in the middle of a chile harvesting cycle according to the L.A. Times.
Thirty residents have filed suit against Sriracha producer, Huy Fong Foods, stating the odor is so unbearable they can’t even be outside.
On Monday the city of Irwindale filed a suit “claiming that the odor was a public nuisance and asked a judge to stop production until the smell can be reduced” according to Outside. A judge will decide the outcome of this case on Thursday.
