Sparks In The Park 2011 – Photos & Videos
This last weekend was one of the best “Sparks In The Park” EVER! There was so much for everyone to do… Car Show, Bounce Houses, Climbing Wall, Face Painting, Fun & Games, all of that “fair food”, and some fantastic live music on the amphitheater stage, then Texarkana’s BEST Fireworks Show!
When we opened the gates at 4PM, there was already a pretty good crowd waiting to get into the fairgrounds. Kids, played in the giant sand box, and the cool-misters, and on-stage “Jermia Cannon” was wailing out some good old southern Gospel, and down-home praise.
Through out the day Jeremy Tanner from Texas A&M, and I recorded video messages to the troops, from anyone that wanted to send their thanks as part of our “Townsquare Cares” mission for our troops and their families… some of them are included in the video below.
The crowd GREW!
We had the opening ceremonies at 6PM with Sky-divers dropping in with Old Glory, The United States Marine Color Guard, and the talented “Debbie Gilliam” doing our National Anthem.
After the opening ceremonies, “The Inside” rocked the Four States Fairgrounds. Then the country band “Driven” took us up to the biggest show in the sky… FIREWORKS, thanks to the City of Texarkana Arkansas.
