Teams are getting started on their vehicles already for the annual demolition derby set for Saturday September 14, with the 69th Four States Fair & Rodeo. We say vehicles, because this year will be our first with "TRUCKS".

That's right, according to the official rules available at the Four States Fairgrounds Office,

Any stock made 1/2 ton, regular or extended cab, two (2) wheel drive pick-up truck is permitted. MAXIMUM SIX (6)LUG BOLT PATTERN.

There are some other restrictions with trucks, as there has always been with cars, and the official rules can be had with your entry application available at the Four States Fair office.

We are expecting lots of our regulars, including Jeff and Becky Ford. Becky is always a fan favorite, and she's more determined than ever to finally get her championship in 2013 and the $1,500 cash that goes with it. Second place pays $750, third pays $500 and the winner of each heat will receive $250.

Only 36 entries are going to be allowed to compete for the cash and glory, so get your entry application in ASAP at the Four States Fair office. With a record amount of prize money and the addition of trucks we are truly expecting this to be our absolute best Demolition Derby ever in Texarkana. We will see you there, at the 69th Four States Fair & Rodeo's 23rd Annual Demolition Derby Saturday September 14 at the Fairgrounds.
