You may not realize but we are about to enter a second tornado season.According to Texarkana Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Hall, late Fall into early Winter is the second most likely time of the year for a tornado to happen in our area.

November is the 4th busiest month of the year for tornado reports behind the Spring months of May, April, and March. December and January then follow November as tornado threats.

September is National Preparedness Month and a good time according  to authorities to make sure your home is prepared for a storm related problem.

Take time to make sure you have batteries for flashlights, battery operated radios, extra food and water supplies.

Listen to this radio station or a weather radio set to noaa in the event of severe weather later this fall or winter.
