Reward Offered for Most Wanted Sex Offender

The Texas Department of Public Safety has added 57 year old Michael Wayne Hopson to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list.Also, a $5,000 cash reward is now offered for information leading to his capture. Hopson has multiple indecent exposure offenses and is currently wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and indecent exposure.

DPS officials say Hopson has relatives and friends living in Frankston, Texas; Russellville, Arkansas; Kansas and California. He has worked as a convience store clerk and is currently wanted for a 2010 indecent exposure in Payne County, Oklahoma and failure to comply with sex offender registration in Anderson County, Texas.

Hopson is described as a white male, 57 years of age, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has a scar on his left arm.

All tips can be offered anonymously. There are four different ways to provide these tips:

1. Call the Texas Crimestoppers hotline at 1-800-252-8477

2. Text the letters DPS-followed by your tip- to 274637 from your cell phone.

3. Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about and then clicking on the link under their picture.

4. Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the "SUBMIT A TIP" LINK (under the "About" section.
