A railroad crossing on a busy stretch of highway in Nash will close for repairs according to the Texas Department of Transportation.FM 989 (Kings Highway) railroad crossing in Nash to close Aug. 17 for repairs

Motorists who normally travel FM 989 (Kings Highway) south of US 82 (New Boston Road) in Nash will need to find an alternate route on Sunday, Aug. 17.  The railroad company will be closing the highway to through-traffic on this date to make repairs to the railroad crossing.

What:  FM 989 closed to traffic at the railroad crossing south of US 82 in Nash.
When:  Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, beginning as early as 6 a.m. until the work is completed.
Where:  At the railroad crossing located just south of US 82 in Nash.

Traffic will be detoured onto US 67 (7th Street), I-369/Loop 151 and US 82. Portable message boards will be placed near the railroad crossing beforehand to warn motorists of the scheduled road closure.  The construction schedule and road closure can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
