The storied career of Quiet Riot will continue with a new voice at the helm. The band has revealed that Seann Nicols, formerly of Adler's Appetite, will take over as their new singer starting with the band's forthcoming album.

Nicols is currently in the studio with the band, as they record all new material, with a release expected in 2017 on Frontiers Records. The group will also shoot a music video for one of the tracks off the forthcoming album, which will mark their first new clip since 1989.

The singer takes over for Jizzy Pearl, who is exiting the band to concentrate full-time on his solo career. Pearl will remain with the band through the end of the year to fulfill their existing tour dates, and he exits under what appears to be good terms. "Quiet Riot thanks Jizzy for a great three years and we wish him the very best," they state in their announcement.

The band will kick off their 2017 touring with Nicols in tow on Jan. 27 in Medina, Minn., with more dates expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned here to see when new dates are added.

Quiet Riot enjoyed their biggest success with Kevin DuBrow on the mic. He fronted the band off an on from 1975 through 2007, when he passed away. The band has also employed Paul Shortino, Mark Huff, Keith St. John, Scott Vokoun and Pearl as their singer at various points in their career. The current lineup finds longtime members Frankie Banali, Chuck Wright and Alex Grossi joining Nicols.
