Public Invited to Grand Opening of Extension of University Avenue

The City of Texarkana Texas is inviting the public to attend the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the University Avenue Extension.Public officials and dignitaries will gather at 11 a.m. this Friday April 5th for the ceremony to open the eastern extension of the roadway from the Bringle Lake area.

The opening will give residents both an east and west alternative to get to Bringle Lake and the campus of Texas A&M University-Texarkana. In the first three phases of the project the city has invested over 11 1/2 million dollars.
