Provide a Pet a Pad — Tipper Needs a Home [PHOTOS/VIDEOS]

Tipper is a Feist mix which is very similar to a Fox Terrier, it is a small breed dog. Tipper weighs around 25 lbs. She is sweet and energetic. Tipper needs a family that wants to spend time with her playing, training and doing activities. Obedience training through one of the dog trainers in town would be good for both Tipper and owner. There is no adoption fee at the shelter through the end of the year! 

Tipper has a gentle spirit. Feists were bred to hunt for small animals and that is something that Tipper loves to do too. Tipper would be a good indoor/outdoor dog because she loves to play outside but also loves to be near her people. She wants to please her person which will make training a breeze.

Tipper had a home but they couldn't deal with her digging so they took her to the shelter. Now is the time to adopt that cat or dog you have wanted from the animal shelter in Texarkana.

According to Dogster.com: "Feists have lots of energy, but around the home they aren’t likely to bounce off the walls—in fact, they are more than happy to cuddle on the couch. Easy to train and eager to please, Feists can help on the farm, in the field or in the yard. And if you have a rat problem, they will soon make it go away. They also love to play in the park and jog through the neighborhood."

Add a pet to the family because from now until Christmas, there are NO ADOPTION FEES at the Animal Care and Adoption Center. All animals must still be vetted prior to leaving the shelter, but there is assistance available to qualified adopters if you need a little help.

The shelter's adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet. You can also have your pet micro-chipped for only $20 right at the shelter! That way if your pet is ever lost, he can be returned to you quickly.
