After the holidays, that wallet is a little thin. If you're looking for a great tasting steak without the cost of a great cut, then you might want to try this.

I love a rib-eye. Unfortunately, my wallet doesn't. In the video below, check out Jack Scalfani as he shows us how the cheapest and toughest cut of beef can be turned into a tender and succulent steak.

This guy really did get the cheapest cut of meat available. He paid only $1.99 a pound for select beef cross rib roast (whatever that is) as opposed to the usual $9.99 a pound for a rib-eye around here. Then the only other ingredient he uses is sea salt or kosher salt that you cover the top of the steak with and wait. Depending on the thickness of the steak you bought you leave it between one to two hours. Rinse the salt off and season any way you like!
