Pizza Hut Manager Forced to Resign for Refusing to Open Store on Thanksgiving [VIDEO]

Yes, more and more businesses these days have decided to open shop for Thanksgiving, but one Pizza Hut manager didn't want to... now he's unemployed.

Tony Rohr was fired from the Pizza Hut in Elkhart, Indiana where he was  general manager because he told his bosses he would not open the restaurant on Thanksgiving:

I said, 'Why can't we be the company that stands up and says we care about our employees and they can have the day off?'"

Rohr had been working at that restaurant for more than 10 years when he was ordered to open the restaurant. He told his bosses he wouldn't do it and they told him to sign a letter of resignation and he refused. Instead, Rohr wrote his own letter, explaining his decision:

I am not quitting. I do not resign, however I accept that the refusal to comply with this greedy, immoral request means the end of my tenure with this company. I hope you realize that it's the people at the bottom of the totem pole that make your life possible.”

Pizza Hut had no comment on the matter.
