The St. Mary's County, Maryland Health Department has confirmed a skunk that bit a fast food patron last week had rabies. The sick animal wandered into the Jimmy Buffett-inspired Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant in California, Maryland Thursday afternoon and bit a woman's foot, according to MyFoxDC.

The skunk was captured and shot, and its brain was analyzed for any trace of the potentially fatal disease. It was the sixth animal from the St. Mary's area to test positive for rabies.
