New Texarkana El Chico Restaurant Scheduled to Open October 23 [PHOTOS]

Texarkana is buzzing with news of the Tex-Mex favorite El Chico's opening for business on Tuesday October 23.

El Chico restaurants were a long-time favorite  here before the two Texarkana locations closed almost 5 years ago.  Some preferred the Central Mall location, while others enjoyed going to the Stateline location.  The new store is located in the old Bennigans building behind the former El Chico Restaurant on the Arkansas side of town at 420 Realtor Avenue.

The return of El Chico's to our area is HUGE, and people are showing their appreciation on their Facebook Page.  We stopped by to see how the construction was going, and talked to owner Chad Sparkman who told us,

We are right on schedule to open Tuesday October 23rd, and will be serving up the absolute best Tex-Max Cuisine in town.  We hope to see EVERYBODY in town when we get the doors open.
